Explore one of Italy’s most breathtaking coastlines with our 8-day Naples, Positano, & Amalfi Coast Tour. Immerse yourself in splendid views, rich history rooted in ancient Greek civilization, and the vibrant culture of the Campania region, all while traveling in style.
The first two days are spent in the bustling city of Naples, where a quiet boutique hotel in the heart of the old town serves as the starting point for delving into the complex local history. Savor the flavors of Neapolitan culinary traditions with a visit to the vibrant food market and dinner at an award-winning pizzeria.
With a small group of only 6 to 12 guests, we gain access to intimate experiences, such as dining at a picturesque winery on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, surrounded by the fragrant scents of lemon and olive trees, creating a truly memorable backdrop for your meal.
While many tourists only skim the surface of Positano, you’ll indulge in five luxurious nights in sea-view rooms featuring balconies at a family-owned inn.
As you journey from Naples to Positano, relish exclusive experiences: splurge on a private boat ride to Capri, exploring hidden coves and grottos while enjoying a glass of Prosecco and the chance for a refreshing swim in the sparkling Mediterranean waters.
Meet a passionate local food expert on a foraging experience, gaining insights into sustainable food practices. Visit Sorrento, Atrani, an organic mozzarella farm, the historical ruins of Pompei with a knowledgeable local guide, and sip wine at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius.
Let us worry about the challenging logistics of navigating busy roads and crazy traffic, as you relax and take in La Dolce Vita on this Naples, Positano, and Amalfi Coast Tour.

An oasis of peace and silence in the hustle and bustle of old Naples, where you can rest after a day of exploration. A former private home turned into a hotel with a rooftop terrace, pool, and a collection of art installations.
Relax in the heart of Positano, in well-appointed rooms featuring traditional colorful ceramics of the Amalfi Coast. Your balcony is a privileged point of view overlooking the sea, and the maze of steep alleys and staircases.
This is our second tour with Marco. Our first tour was in northern Italy, and we thought nothing could compare. Well, our tour to the Amalfi Coast was just as spectacular. Everything including the hotel with private terraces overlooking the Mediteranea in Positano, the many private tours, the private boats to and around Capri, the cooking class and all the food were amazing. Marco is very accommodating; he always goes out of his way to ensure everyone is having the trip of a lifetime. Already thinking about where we want to go on our third tour with Meet Piemonte!

Every day was meticulously planned, yet allowed for personal exploration and spontaneous moments of wonder. From the welcoming hosts to the stunning landscapes and mouthwatering cuisine, this tour captured the true essence of Southern Italy. Highly recommended for those seeking a rich, immersive travel experience. And a special thanks to Marco and his team at Meet Piemonte

We just returned from the Naples and Amalfi Coast Tour and couldn’t be happier! We witnessed spectacular scenery, cooked with spices that we collected from the mountain side, roamed Atrani in search of the steps from “Ripley”, relaxed on a private boat to Capri, ate and drank the most delicious food and wine and met some amazing people along the way…The small group provided gave a more personalized experience and allowed us to be spontaneous! Marco was an outstanding guide–this clearly is his passion. What an incredible experience, so grateful to Meet Piemonte and Marco. Looking forward to the next adventure with them!

This morning, we follow our local guide for an introduction to the history, folk traditions, and the flourishing art scene that makes Naples a city like no other in Italy.
From the storied Spaccanapoli, with its artisan shops and impressive churches, our walk will reach the vibrant food market of the Spanish Quarters.
As we wander among food stalls and shops, our tour ends in a cozy trattoria where we partake in iconic recipes of the capital of the Mediterranean.
This afternoon is yours to explore Naples at your own pace. Consider joining an evocative tour of the underground tunnels or visiting the Royal Palace (not included). You can also rest a bit in your hotel room before going out again tonight and try one of the restaurants suggested by the tour manager.

Accommodation: Positano
After breakfast, we load the luggage on a minibus and drive to Pompeii.
Our Naples, Positano, & Amalfi Coast Tour arrives at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, where we take a step back in time with a knowledgeable and expert local guide and discover the archaeological site of Pompei, a former Roman city buried by volcanic ash after the devastating eruption of 79 A.D. Walking through the ruins of villas decorated with frescoes and mosaics, we learn how Romans used to live before the dramatic event that killed thousands of people.
Today’s lunch is served in a winery located on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius, whose rich soil full of minerals is key to the production of local traditional wines such as Aglianico, Pedirosso, and Lacryma Christi.
Later, drive along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to the charming village of Positano, which has inspired generations of celebrities and artists. From the balcony of your exclusive sea-view room, you can take in the beauty and admire the maze of steep stairs and alleyways below.
Tonight, the tour manager is there to provide an orientation on Positano and suggest seafood restaurants. Dinner is on your own, so you can enjoy it at your own pace and decide to stay near the hotel or walk down to the beach.

Late in the morning, we follow a passionate food expert on an informative foraging harvest focused on edible and spontaneous herbs, seasonal vegetables, sustainable food chains, and local traditions.
Our harvest will be added to organic ingredients, mostly from local food purveyors connected to the Slow Food Movement. We cook tasty but straightforward recipes on a panoramic terrace of the Amalfi Coast.
Enjoy your al-fresco lunch surrounded by incredible Mediterranean Sea views that will conquer your senses.
This afternoon, we keep driving along the coast, spotting private villas, colorful bougainvillea, and rock formations, all the way to the town of Amalfi.
Indulge in a tasting of locally-made limoncello and enjoy some shopping in the narrow streets and piazzas lined up with paper shops, cafes, and souvenirs.
Your Tour Manager is available for an optional walk to the nearby village of Atrani, a Unesco World Heritage Site for the incredible architecture and maze of steep stairs, covered passages, and hidden courtyards. We will spot some of the real backdrops of the recent Netflix series Ripley, which was filmed here.
Dinner is on your own in Amalfi before driving back to Positano.

Get a new perspective on the Naples, Positano, & Amalfi Coast Tour as we sail to the world-famous island of Capri.
Meet your captain in Positano and board our private boat ***. You can decide to lie on the bow under the sun or to sit in the shade of the back.
Either way, enjoy the jaw-dropping views of hidden inlets along the Amalfi coastline from this privileged point of view. Later, we reach the southern coast of the island of Capri with its numerous colorful grottos and evocative rock formations.
We sail to the iconic Faraglioni, and you’ll get a chance to swim in a quiet bay, away from crowds. Towels and a refreshing glass of Prosecco are provided!
After docking in Capri’s private marina, follow your tour manager in the upper town for an introductory walk and spend your free time at your leisure: maybe lunch in one of the exclusive restaurants or a hike to the remains of Villa Jovis, once the favorite spot of Roman Emperor Tiberius.
You will be enchanted by the rose gardens spilling over elegant villa walls just steps away from the glamorous fashion shops.
Return to Positano in the late afternoon and enjoy dinner on your own.
*** In case of rough sea conditions, for everyone’s safety and well-being, the ride to Capri may be arranged with a public ferry boat (without the chance of swimming and visiting the Faraglioni). In case of bad weather, the Capri excursion will be replaced by another land-based activity. No refunds will be given in either case.

This morning we explore the fertile crops and numerous stables of buffalo cows typical of the southern Campania region.
We visit a well-established organic farm where every day the world’s famous mozzarella cheese is produced by hand, piece after piece. Enjoy a fresh light lunch at the table, featuring a selection of cheese, salad, and homemade bread.
This afternoon, meet a knowledgeable local expert in the nearby archeological site of Paestum, where some Greek Temples are better preserved than those in Greece! The tour will include a look at the adjacent museum where the iconic “Tomb of the Diver” is kept.
Relax onboard our small bus as we drive back toward the southern tip of the Amalfi Coast. Meet local host Patrizia, who proudly manages her family’s vineyard and lemon grove perched on a slope overlooking the Mediterranean.
Tonight, Patrizia’s mouth-watering dinner is paired with the DOC Amalfi wine, served under a pergola overlooking the coast and the sea.

Arrivederci!
Airfare to and from this destination is not included in the tour cost.
Suggested arrival and departure airport: Naples (NAP). As soon as you book your flights, please share with us your air information so that we can work on airport transfers (if included).
Arrival day: no airport transfer is included upon arrival to Naples Airport which is located within a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the city center (about 25€ per car). Please contact us if you’d like to add a private transfer to your tour package or a pre-tour hotel room.
Departure day: one group transfer from Positano to Naples Airport is included. Flights should not be booked before 11:00 am. Please contact us if you’d like to add a transfer at a different time or a post-tour hotel room.
In addition to airline luggage restrictions, please consider that:
Due to our van/bus space limitations during the tour, we ask you to limit your checked luggage to one average-size suitcase per person, weighing around 50 pounds (23 kg) and with overall dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 62 inches (158 cm).
Each guest can also bring one carry-on and a small, soft-sided bag or backpack for day-to-day travel. The space onboard our vans and minibusses, as well as the overhead rack and the space under the seat, is typically very limited, just enough for small bags and purses.
PASSPORT AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary documents for traveling to Italy, depending on your country of residence.
If you are a U.S. citizen traveling internationally, you will need a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the end of your tour to enter Italy. Currently, no vaccinations are required, but it is your responsibility to stay informed about any changes to this requirement.
For citizens of other non-European countries traveling internationally, it is advisable to contact an embassy or consulate of Italy to determine the required travel documentation.
MOBILITY AND HEALTH
To enjoy our Naples, Positano & Amalfi Coast Tour, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances. This is not a physically demanding tour; however, there will be a lot of walking, often on uneven steps, cobblestones, uphill and downhill. One of the charming aspects of Italy is its historical and architectural conformation. Many towns and attractions can only be visited on foot, as vans and buses cannot access the pedestrian areas where most places of interest are located.
While the driving time on our tours is limited, getting to remote farmhouses and villages may require driving on windy roads that may cause motion sickness.
WHEELCHAIRS
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or motorized scooters. Our tour managers and tour guides are unable to provide ongoing individual assistance to guests with walking difficulties or other physical needs.
HOTELS, WI-FI, AIR CONDITIONING
Due to the historic nature of many luxury boutique hotels we stay in, some rooms may have stairs and can vary in size and layout. Additionally, air conditioning in Italy, as well as the Wi-Fi connection, may not be as reliable as it is in the United States.
GRATUITIES and OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
Gratuities for hotel staff and waiters are included in the tour price. Guests may choose to leave a tip for drivers and guides as a token of appreciation for their services. Suggested tipping amounts will be communicated approximately a month before departure via email, along with a list of important information about Italy, including what to pack, how to manage money withdrawals, electricity usage, VAT refunds, and more.
