Our trip with Tour Guide Fannie and the other travelers was most enjoyable, especially since we had never been to Italy. Some of the other tourists had been to Italy, including some who had traveled previously with Meet Piemonte. They toured with other guides, so they helped enrich our experiences while in Tuscany and augmented the information presented by our guide. The lodging at Relais Monvi was outstanding, while the Grand Sitea in Turin was very acceptable especially since the location was in very close proximity to many of the sites we visited, with and without our guide. We were able to taste many of the fine wines from this region and really enjoyed the Barolo and Barbaresco varieties. Side trips to a chocolate-making factory and cheese aging facility were also interesting along with tastings of their products. Group members all participated in making: cookies from hazelnuts and chocolate; and made pasta and flan; then enjoyed the fruits of our labor at our host's kitchen and dining area. Though most of the group were able to trudge through the woods with a truffle hunter and his dog in Monta, we were unable to participate as terrain was too muddy and steep for us to safely descend the first hill. But we enjoyed viewing the church and various shrines while waiting for our "hunting" group. Then we all enjoyed a homemade lunch at hunter's home. All dinners were very enjoyable with excellent food and wines along with conversations with our fellow tourists. The bus we rode the majrity of the time was very comfortable and was able to handle all of the luggage from 14 guests including ourselves, on the trip to Turin. Turin was very interesting, including our trip up the Mole Antonelliana with its spectacular views of the city and the Alps foothills (too cloudy to see the actual Alps that day,) The local tour guide showed us many royal palaces, churches and Roman ruins to enhance our understanding of how Turin evloeved over time.

Very well organized tour. The guides and activity hosts were very good and everyone enjoyed it. We were a group of 12 from a wine club. The boutique hotel in the countryside was very peaceful, staff were friendly and all amenities were top quality.

My husband and I recently returned from Meet Piemonte’s Lake Como, Piedmont & Portofino Tour, and I cannot say enough positive things about this incredible experience. This is our second time traveling with Meet Piemonte, which specializes exclusively in small group tours of Italy. The tour company was an absolute delight from start to finish. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and thoughtful itinerary made every day memorable and worry-free. From the moment we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable guide, it was clear that we were in good hands. The group size was intimate, allowing us to form new friendships and enjoy a more authentic, immersive experience. Our tour leader made sure everyone felt comfortable and included and was always available to answer questions or offer recommendations. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, combining the breathtaking beauty of Lake Como’s sparkling waters and charming villages, the world-famous wines and culinary delights of Piedmont, and the glamorous appeal of Portofino. Each destination offered unique highlights, from strolling through quaint lakeside towns and savoring exquisite local cuisine to exploring historic vineyards and soaking in stunning coastal views. Transportation was seamless, accommodations were outstanding and well-located, and the pacing of the tour allowed us to truly savor each region without ever feeling rushed. I especially appreciated the company’s commitment to showcasing local culture and supporting family-run establishments — it made every meal and activity feel genuinely special. If you’re seeking a high-quality, small group adventure through Northern Italy’s most captivating destinations, or anywhere in Italy, I wholeheartedly recommend Meet Piemonte. Their dedication to excellence, personal touch, and passion for travel shine through in every aspect of the journey. I can’t wait to join them for another unforgettable Italian experience!

Traveling with Meet Piemonte on their small group tour of Sicily and Taormina was an absolutely delightful and enriching experience. This was our second tour this month (our first was in Lake Cuomo and the northern Piedmont region). One of the stand-out highlights in Sicily was our visit to a local olive farm. We learned firsthand about traditional olive oil production, walked among ancient groves, and sampled fresh oils paired with regional delicacies. The tour’s inclusion of several small, family-run wineries was a true treat for wine lovers. Exploring the salt pans was another unique highlight. Learning about the traditional salt harvesting methods gave us a deeper appreciation for Sicily’s rich history and landscape. In Palermo we enjoyed vibrant streets and shopping, fascinating architecture, and great street food. Taormina was also fantastic, perched above the coastline with breathtaking views and charming alleys. Our day trip to Farvignana island was a fascinating experience. We saw a castle where Christopher Nolan recently completed filming the upcoming movie, "The Odessey", in fact, our van driver was actually Christopher Nolan's personal driver during filming! We also had the pleasure of learning how to cook authentic couscous at a small family restaurant. The Meet Piemonte tour manager, Clarissa, was fantastic, and the guides on our excursions were outstanding. Transportation was comfortable, accommodations were fantastic, and every meal showcased Sicilian flavors. The balance of guided excursions and free time allowed us to explore independently while benefiting from expert recommendations. I highly recommend Meet Piemonte’s small group tours to anyone eager to experience Sicily, or any other Italian location.

This was one of the best trips I have ever taken to Italy. Many thanks to Marco and Meet Piedemonte.
